Such Gold Practice
Last week I was able to get down and hangout with the guys in Such Gold to sit around at one of their practices at home to just hangout and take a few photos before they headed out of town for a bit on a small tour somewhere out west a bit.
They have been really cool and have been using my pictures for their material over the past couple of years, and they even put a picture...

It Is Nearly Summer...
Looks like it is nearly time for summer. If you’re in Rochester and wandering by highland park this weekend or next, stop by and maybe I will be more than happy to take your photo like the gentleman in this photograph.
* I live in the neighborhood right near this liquor store so I am pretty easy to find.

Ladies & Gentlemen...John Borek.
I cannot begin to find the words to describe John Borek… if you have any interaction with the man on any level you would really understand, which is why John was simply the best subject for a quick test to try out my new camera system.
As I sit here to scramble to find the right words, I need to be off so I will simply say this; it is good to be back, cheers.

Cap 'n Jazz
Chicago’s Cap ‘n Jazz was one of the bands that preoccupied my teenage angst years which last from about 11 - 25. I had to grow up and be an adult as a teenager so my real teenager years were 18 - 25. I still got into plenty of teenage antics from 11 - 18 but that is simply another story that I will never tell here.
Cap ‘n Jazz was a band I simply fell in love with upon the...

You Know It Is Christmas Time When Renditions of...
Aside from “Charlie Brown’s Christmas”, I cannot begin to think of what other signs we have to really know it is the holiday season and I am happy to report that mass rampant consumerism really isn’t one of them. However, screening and performances of “It’s A Wonderful Life”, just happen to come along with the holiday season.
If you’re like me,...

11/12/2011: No Trigger & A Wilhelm Scream, Albany,...
It is hard to say that one certain thing gave me my path of being an aspiring photojournalist. Like any one person’s life, we grow more and more from our everyday experiences. I can say for sure though that the boys in No Trigger were a motivating factor for me working two jobs, beating the hell out of my body to save up some money to buy a damn camera and hit...

(The sign reads, “This Is What Democracy Looks Like”.
I know these photos are dated but I wanted to publish them none the less. I was urged to originally cover the global solidarity march on October 15th in NYC but I felt in the idea of solidarity everywhere should have coverage, my hometown, being no exception.
I am not...

Brandon's Last Day At Record Archive
Brandon was a staple of the Record Archive for the past 8 years. I am slowly getting around to doing portraits of everyone in the store but of course, this charming man had to be the first. The man will always be around but the store will not be the same without him. Good luck man in whatever you do.

Genesee 12 Horse Ale Re-Release
(Genesee Brewery worker oversees the crowd gathered for 12 Horses’s release)
Doing it how they did it back in the late 1800’s. I just believe that instead of cases, they were delivering barrels of their finest ales for the locals to become rowdy and good-spirited on. The re-release of Genesee Brewery’s 12 Horse Ale was meet with more fan fare and media attention then...

Luke & Phoebe Get Married! October 1st, 2011
This was a hell of a wedding. It took place at Gilbert Lake New York State Park. Overcast and raining all day long but just because it looked crummy out did not mean it wasn’t a simply great time. Congrats you two.

Father & Son
Tommy Brunett & Son at the Record Archive performing for the Fairport Music Festival Check Presentation To Galisano Childrens Hospital.
I had stopped into the Record Archive randomly the other day and heard about this show with Tommy and The Public Market Band. As an aspiring photojournalist I always keep a camera on me at all times as I have no idea when a great opportunity will present...

Sometimes I Do Favors For Friends...
I have always been an individual in transition or constant motion. To be fair, who isn’t? We are always learning and push ourselves to our goals and dreams. For me that is to push my work to being based on sincere and honest moments. I strive to become a photojournalist. That is who I feel I am as a photographer and what I am striving to do with my work. With that said, every once in a...
