Such Gold Practice

Last week I was able to get down and hangout with the guys in Such Gold to sit around at one of their practices at home to just hangout and take a few photos before they headed out of town for a bit on a small tour somewhere out west a bit.
They have been really cool and have been using my pictures for their material over the past couple of years, and they even put a picture that I took of myself on their cover of “Stand Tall” ep which was really rad to see me on a record cover and even more so to see a few kids with that as a tattoo on their body.
Hopefully I will be getting out more and more now to cover more musicians like this in the future, until then, enjoy.

When zombies attack a wedding… good fucking times. Congrats guys.
Jeffrey Haschmann

Jeff Haschmann is a goddamn dream boat. He is a talented drummer, rockstar, philosopher, can grow one hell of a beard and an all around outstanding slab of human being.
I ran into Jeff for a brief second this morning as I was out and about walking around the South Wedge neighborhood on my new found day off when for a brief moment in time, we crossed paths. I always tend to find Jeff in the most of all my friends in places around town when I am out and about and it is always a friendly face to see on a random encounter.
Simply enough, Jeff is the mann.
July 4th, 9am: Breakfast! The Right Time…

(Photo Cred: Declan Ryan)

That title might be a little elusive to most as I can see it only being relevant to two maybe three people outside of myself. However I couldn’t help but think it was a great place to start my rather insane Fourth of July Holiday weekend. It started Thursday when I received my Canon 5D MKII rental for the weekend in my hands and really didn’t stop shooting until early Tuesday evening.
At this point in the day I had already been up for 24 hours shooting photos like a mad man with two weddings already behind me from days before and Declan I believe was out on the town the night before, making best friends with people and whiskey. Breakfast seemed perfect after a night of shooting and it was even better with having a Fisheye Lens in my hand for the first time, courtesy of Alexis.
A ton of photos will be posted in the coming of days but until then, enjoy.

How I Take Pictures.

I am a person who always wants my work to speak for itself. I am not big on being a sales man but rather let people be able to elicit an honest emotional reaction from my work. They can judge from there if they choose to hire me for work or not. Photographing more and more commercial work and weddings makes me look at the process and myself a lot more. I am not only selling the image but the professional experience as well. I am huge on the transparency to the process of things, so here I am in my method of professionalism, climbing a bridge in Binghamton, NY to take engagement photos. There are countless tales of me doing what I need to, to get the shot. I was running, keeping pace with a horse at a wedding, playing in the dirt or climbing waterfalls at another. This particular shoot was unexpected and all I had was a Nikkor 105mm Macro Lens for rental that weekend but none the less, had a great time taking pictures. Next time I roll through I will have to climb a little higher with a wide angle and maybe actual sneakers. Maybe…
Sunday, June 19th, 2011

A quick glimpse at how I spent a good part of my Sunday last weekend. Waking up in Binghamton, going out for a shoot early in the morning, then driving home and eating dinner with friends and family. The food coma from that weekend was intense.
This is Mike. Mike is easily one of the most ridiculous young skaters I’ve seen. He’s gonna be one of my favorite subjects to shoot in the future so keep an eye out. I would also like to point out how little sleep I had while doing this shoot to the point I can barely remember doing it,fuck yeah.Go Mike.
so it begins! Tons of new photography coming soon!
